Offshore Sportfish

Fishing florida keys

Troll out in the wild blue waters off the Florida Keys for dolphin, tuna, sailfish and the rare marlin; as well as many other toothy critters like kingfish, barracuda and wahoo. Offshore fishing on a sportfish vessel is the granddaddy of all charters. Book this trip and you will have a very well equipped, air conditioned sportfishing vessel with all the amenities of a small condo – including a bathroom (head)!

The fun doesn’t stop there! These vessels are also known for their wreck fishing capabilities where you will drift over deep offshore wrecks with live bait or jigs and spend some calories cranking in some of the strongest fish in the ocean. Amberjack, grouper, mutton snapper, tuna and african pompano are all available.

Not only will these offshore sportfish vessels troll the blue water, they are equipped to troll the reef as well. This is where it gets interesting. Grouper, snapper, mackerel, barracuda and sharks all react to trolled baits.

This is a two man operation, captain and mate. The vessel has an air conditioned cabin, generator, bathroon/head, GPS, depth recorder, radar, VHF, live well, outriggers, plenty of ice storage, etc.

All rods, reels, tackle, ice, bait and fishing licenses are supplied. Just bring drinks and food for the day. All rates are for the full boat, tips not included. 20% deposit required for reservation.

Full day $1100 – 3/4 day $950 – 1/2 day $800

Light Tackle Offshore

light-tackle-fishing-florida-keys

Live baiting is a staple to a light tackle offshore experience. Nothing like throwing a live ballyhoo in the direction of a marauding sailfish or dropping a large speedo or blue runner down to a deep shipwreck offshore.

Maybe we’ll just drift over one of our historic shipwrecks and drop some live bait to see if we can pull up what is lurking below. The most common bottom dwellers are giant grouper, amberjack, sharks and barracuda.

We can head offshore and troll the beautiful blue water for Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna and Wahoo using rigged baits and lures or maybe anchor up near the reef and bottom fish for snapper, cobia, grouper and the like.

These center console boats are Nascar on the water. Fast, sexy and nimble. Not much we can’t do. Normally these boats are equipped with way too much horsepower. Think Contender, Yellowfin, twin 4-strokes. Boo Ya!

Amenities include single-handed captain (no mate). All rods, reels, tackle, ice, bait and fishing licenses are supplied. Just bring drinks, food and plenty of sunscreen. Please keep in mind that these vessels are open center consoles. All rates are for the full boat, tips not included. 20% deposit required for reservation.

Max: 6 people

Dry Tortugas

dry-tortugas-fishing-florida-keysThe outback of the Florida Keys. No other place on earth can compare to this area. A lifetime event for up to six lucky people. Sleep onboard the boat or camp on the island for two nights that will change your direction. Simply Magical!!

We will leave at noon on Friday and take the 2 1/2 hour ride out in comfort aboard a 36′ Luhrs Tournament Express. A/C, full galley, fully functioning head with bathroom and shower.

Once we arrive we’ll get set up and then do a little fishing, catch our dinner and then fish throughout the evening.

In the morning we’ll set out for a day of serious fishing throughout the Park. Everything is bigger out in the Tortugas so be prepared to take some punishment from the monster fish we encounter.

The Dry Tortugas are some of the most pristine, crystal clear waters in the world and you will feel privileged to be able to experience such a wild and beautiful place.

We can fish the entire day or you can choose to spend some time touring the Fort, snorkeling or just relaxing. Whatever you choose, this is most definitely a trip unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

We’ll head back to Key West on Sunday after lunch and will arrive back at the dock around 4pm.

Although we recommend the two night trip in order to have the time to fully experience the Park, we can also do a one night trip. We would leave the dock Friday at noon but then return back to Key West Saturday afternoon.

Click here for more information about the Dry Tortugas National Park.

Two Nights (Fri – Sun) $2900 – $3200

One Night (Fri – Sat) $2200 – $2500
